Intermediate and advanced skiers will love the new Volkl Kanjo 84 and its upgraded build for this year. Gone is the titanal band that used to run the central portion of the ski, and in is the glass frame. This fiberglass frame that circumnavigates the outer portion of the ski gives it a ton of energy and quickness for its weight. Still built with the multi-layer wood core that’s found in the Kendos and Mantras of the world, the Kanjo comes in a bit narrower and lighter than those other models, and this gives the ski just a ton of maneuverability. The narrower waist is almost getting to front-side width, and the build makes it easily accessible to a wide variety of skiers. Whether you’re looking to shred the bump lines, skirt around the trees, or lay some deep trenches on the groomers, the Volkl Kanjo is your utility knife that cuts to the heart of the sport of skiing. Just click in and head out and you’re going to love the all-around versatility and easy-going nature of the Kanjo 84. Wide enough to handle some fresher and softer snow but still narrow enough to get some insane edge grip on the firm snow, the Kanjo makes any type of turn at any time. This is due to the 3D Radius Sidecut that puts the shaping and duration of the turn more in the hands of the skier rather than the ski being locked into one particular turn radius.
