How to Use

The mini sluice is perfect for “sample prospecting” and finish sluicing your final materials at home. Its tiny size and weight make it easy to pack into areas where you might not want a lot of weight with you. It’s also a great beginner sluice for kids.

This sluice has a few different options on how to use it. You can either use it with the basic “V matting” (the black plastic mat), or with the V matting and the miner’s moss. If the area you are prospecting has a lot of very fine gold, you will want to use both the V matting and the miner’s moss. You can use your mini sluice with the V matting on the bottom, the miner’s moss on top of that, and finally add the metal screen and screw it down with the washer and the screw.
