Adding pins will become your new obsession
Standard poster frames make it easy to place pins in your map. Leave the front plastic off and place pins into the cardboard backing or use foam board for a smoother surface. For a more professional look, use spray adhesive to keep map flat. Avoid mounting with glues, rubber cement, Mod Podge, etc.; unlike spray adhesive these may saturate and warp the paper.
